Flat Fido -- Man's Best Friend?
Flat Fido, a cardboard cut out terrier, purports to be man's best friend. You don't have to feed him, walk him, bathe him. He just hangs around,
looking like he is glad to be with you. There are benefits to this kind of dog, but can he sit? Fetch? Bring your slippers and the daily news?
The package says he is clean as a whistle, obedient, totally gung-ho and still man's best friend. I have found this to be true, except, perhaps, for "obedient." I repeatedly commanded Flat Fido to fetch, but he stood still like a post. I suppose it is unfair to criticize, though... after all I spent no time trying to train him.
I'm a cat guy, so Flat Fido is my kind of dog. But for dog lovers there is also Flat Cat.
